Laken had an echo today.... GOOD NEWS!! The left ventricle is completely back to normal and the PDA is closed... AND she is tolerating it well!! Whoohoo!! We have to give a million thanks for all the prayers. We can definately see God working here. No word or decisions on surgery yet. They are planning on feeding her, letting her grow, and slowly weening her off the vent, with hopes that she tolerates everything. Please continue to pray for my precious neice and the family. Thanks again for all the support and prayers!!

- I am 21 years old and the mother to a sweet girl named Mallorie Rain. She is 3 1/2 yrs old and amazing! Caleb, my husband and I just had our second daughter, Laken Mia. At my 30 week appointment, via sono, Dr. Gross detected that something was wrong with little Laken's heart. His office set me up with a specialist in Midland for an appointment. The specialist in Midland then felt I needed to be seen immediately in Dallas by a pediatric cardiologist. We know we have a difficult journey ahead of us, but this is in God's hands. He will take care of my family and little Laken. This blog is an attempt to keep everyone updated on our journey.
